Sir Dragonfire

Prior to ever getting involved in any online game, I had an idealistic perception in how I imagined it should be, and a strong yearning to experience it. That idealistic perception was simple enough; to be part of a team that works together in a coordinated, supportive effort – both tactically and strategically – while still maintaining core ideals from the real world such as good sportsmanship, Respect, Honor, and Integrity.
My first encounter with EK was on the business end of their weapons in their Mech-Warrior 4 Vengeance server, and I knew beyond any doubt this was where I wanted to be. No, not on the business end of their guns, but within this group that emulated the very ideals I sought. It wasn’t the fact that they dominated the battlefield, it wasn’t because they were handing their opponents (including me) their hindquarters, and it wasn’t because they were winning again and again. It was the way they conducted themselves with their coordinated tactical efforts and teamwork; the honor with which they fought, the respect they held for their opposition, win or loose. The former (dominating and winning) was not but the end result or byproduct of the latter (teamwork). While winning was nice, losing with dignity is a strength some do not possess. And even though winning is the goal to which they strove, it was in concert with promoting fun for all - members and guests alike – through the camaraderie and experience of team play. Add to this the fact that they went so far as to follow a theme of Knighthood and Camelot made joining all the more enticing; while most other clans where merely a group of players with a name.
I was accepted into the ranks in 2001 and had the rare and high honor of being sponsored as a squire by Lady of the Lake. Since then we have augmented our arsenal of games that we take part in. No matter the title, the integrity is unchanged. We do not seek the best players, we seek the players with the best attitude, for they are the ones worthy to bare the EK name, and they are the ones who can aspire to greatness – win or loose.

Sir Percival

I was recruited into Excalibur’s Knights back in 2003 after Showing Sir Lancelot the business end of my mech’s gauss rifles many times. It was my tenacity and persistence that made the largest impression. He was the top gun on the server, therefore my primary target. While he would get the better of me for some time that day, the others on the servers didn’t come close. I know this would be my home after Lance extended an offer.

I had the curse of the second place finish for about 2 years while skirmishing for lance command and squad leader positions. I took second place I believe 4 times with between 5 and 7 contestants, failing behind at the last second on score a few times. I would eventually work my way into Squad Leader position in the Royal Lance.

I got my start in Archery Lance, and for about a year, EK had arguably the top sniper lance in the game, with myself, Sir Robin, Sir Balthazar, Outt and a few others during the glory days of Vengeance.

I lead Excalibur’s Knights in World of Warcraft. We had at our maximum 180 accounts, with around 20 core Knights who tried the game. We have about a dozen Knights on two servers presently.

Warhammer Online will be my next charge, while blowing things up in other games like Combat Arms along the way.

Sir Riktoven

I was brought into the EK fold in the year Y2K by Sir Maelstrom, a friend who raved about being part of a coordinated, and friendly group of quasi hardcore gamers. His ravings were (unexpectedly) not born of madness. In EK, I found a community of friends to quickly hone my Mechwarrior skillz and so settled in for many long years of honorable combat and a bitter rivalry with other clans. In fact, I still play to this day with a video card won in a Joust. What is a Joust you ask? Enter the fold, and find out!
