Comments from the Clan:
Sir Yvain
My arrival at EK was as a result of being delivered by an acquaintance with whom I had introduced to online gaming several years prior by way of Mechwarrior 4. As often happens, our clan at the time was not able to adapt to the changes in the gaming community and as a result began to dissolve. With the dissolution of that clans structure we both went out looking for something more. He discovered EK and told me of the strong group dynamic and written in stone fundamental philosophies of EK, which were very appealing. Now, almost seven years and three core games later, the rest is history. There is no stronger group of individuals from so many walks of life that may, and often do, disagree on various levels of existence that can, in a moment, forget themselves in order to be a part of something more. That something is honor, loyalty, and respect. That something is EK. –Sir Yvain

While I only fought with EK briefly in Mercs and Vengence, I enjoyed the experience immensely. I love to fight as part of a team, I love tactics, and I enjoy doing it with style and honor. I prepared this story awhile ago but didn't send it at that time. Things have changed now, but I hope this is still something you can use and perhaps enjoy. I pulled the BOLO reference for my callsign and my story from Keith Laumer's old paperback series, "The Dinochrome Brigade". I know Raven is familiar with it. I believe he was surprised I knew of it. That one book lit a spark in my imagination as a teen. That spark has remained and occasionally flared to life as I read other epoch battle stories. Then I found MechWarrior and I was piloting my own BOLO. What a thrill. Now it is on to the Battlefield. Sir Yvain has been my role model and instructor in both MechWarrior and Battlefield. He has an excellent tactical and strategic sense and I find I readily follow him into battle.
